Associate, Tax
Laura is a member of the Tax Services practice at Ford Keast LLP and focuses on Canadian private company and owner-manager taxation, including succession planning, estate tax planning, and corporate reorganizations. She offers expertise in intergenerational farm transfers, specializes in HST matters, and has significant experience with personal and corporate taxes. Acting as a Canada Revenue Agency liaison, she also assists numerous clients with various items such as audits, appeals, and voluntary disclosures.
Laura graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2011 and received her CA/CPA designation in 2014. She has also completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax course (2016), the In-Depth GST/HST course (2017) and the In-Depth Tax Issues for the Owner-Managed Business course (2019).
When she’s not immersed in tax planning, Laura enjoys staying active and testing her skills on the golf course. She also loves travelling with her husband to discover new places and frequently returns to her hometown of Fergus, Ontario, to reconnect with family and friends.
