Ian received his Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo in 2002, followed by a postgraduate diploma in accounting in 2003. He completed his Chartered Accountant designation in 2004 and his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2012. He continues his learning and growth each year through professional development interests.
Ian is a general practice partner at Ford Keast LLP serving a wide range of clients, specializing in owner-managed businesses, condominium corporations, non-profits, and charitable organizations. He works closely with many charities, long-term care homes, and other non-profits to assist with their governance practices and government reporting requirements.
When he is not operating his practice, Ian dedicates his time to his three busy children who are actively involved in sports and music. Ian is known to turn family vacations into ‘race-cations’ when he can. That is, combining travel with his love of endurance sports including running, cycling, mountain biking and triathlon.
